Mayor of North Jakarta, Rustam Effendi wanted pump house and flood post all over North Jakarta to be ready to face flood.

" Flood post is very important. Although it seems trivial, but it has a big role for the sake of flood handling in North Jakarta ," he uttered when he held sudden inspection at the flood post installed in Mayor of North Jakarta's office, Tuesday (12/22).

In addition, to speed up aid distribution during floods, he instructed the officer to always be on standby in their respective posts.

There are 111 pump units spread across 31 spots are in ready condition. "But 3 other pumps houses are still being repaired, namely Pejagalan, Bimoli and Rawa Badak," he uttered.

He told there are flood-prone areas spread in 17 urban villages. Among them are Kapuk Muara, Pejagalan, Sukapura and Pengangsaan Dua.
